The City Reclaimed

Plaza Diner, on the northeast corner of the intersection of Second Avenue and 56th Street. The coffee is good, plentiful, and served in a real cup. The cake is fresh, moist and sweet. The service is quick and cheerful. The prices are reasonable. And best of all, not a single Fascist Atrim Security Guard in sight. Now THIS is what the city is all about.

mmm ... cake. i am craving chocolate cake. must be a post-partum thing.

Hooray for the Freedom of Cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all are created equal, that they are endowed by their Baker with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Cake, Liberty to eat the Cake where one wants and the pursuit of Extra Frosting.

That is my favorite time of day. Coffee on one side, some sort of edible concoction on the other and my moleskine journal open in front of me.

Cheers to inspiration.

You forgot to mention the fact that the diner is also open 24 hours a day! Which is good, of course .. where else would you go at 3am in the morning when you need a good coffee fix? :)

Sounds good to me!
I'm really enjoying reading what you are sharing with us.

Second picture is heaven.
Here's to a great cup of coffee and something sweet
to match.
