How Old Is This Child?

If any of you can give me an estimate of the age of that child above (me!), I'd deeply appreciate it.

By the way, tomorrow (March 1) is my birthday. I will not tell you how old I am, but I will share with you the fact that every single one of my childhood tormentors/abusers is now either dead, in a mental institution for the criminally insane, or prison. He who laughs last, laughs best!

my guess is the baby is a little over the 1 year old mark. s/he's wearing the kind of shoes that people give kids when they're taking their first steps (11-15 months).

oh, and almost forgot. happy birthday! i'm glad you had the satisfaction of knowing the fate of your abusers.

between one and two.

happy birthday!

I'd say you're not quite a year old there...maybe 10 to 11 months old.

Happy Birthday to a fellow Piscean! I hope you have a wonderful celebration and a great year to follow!

Being a Piscean is a great burden, isn't it? But somebody's got to do it, I guess.

I asked a seasoned mother and she said 18 months roughly and I have to agree. Looks like the photo was taken sometime in the late 40's, early to mid 50's. :)

I'd say you would be around 18 months in that photograph. I love the old car in the background!

Happy I'm-pretty-sure-I-know-how-old-you-are Birthday for tomorrow, John! ;) Many happy returns of the day :)

Thanks. Yes, that's quite an antique!

I would say anywhere between 10 - 16 months. Leaning towards the lower months though. Looks like you were an early walker!

They told me I was an early reader, too. But I have no memory of it.

12 months to the day...happy birthday john...celebrate your day and like the rushing torrents of water that flows under the old log that crosses the stream, late the past be gone...hard to do, i know. my abusers are still living, even if there is no quality of life and i'm not sure there ever was... ciao!

That's their problem, and they're welcomed to it! That's what I always say.

Definitely younger than twenty-four months, probably younger than eighteen and possibly as young as nine months. But the shoes and your size are the giveaway. I'll say ten months!

Thanks. That sounds about right.

Happy Day! May it be full of joy and wonder.

And I would guess you are around two years old in that photo. And an utter cutie pie, too.

Happy Birthday!

I'm going to say 18 months-2 years, but not any older than that. Height-wise the child looks a bit too "long" to be a year old. As penpusher said, the shoes are the giveaway.

I think I know how old you are, but I'm not going to tell!

Thank you! I should add that despite my span of years I have a full head of hair, all of my teeth, and I can still get it up.

oh !...i didnt realize..so
Happy birthday..:))

happy birthday, john! my first glance at the photo, i thought "18 months," but you could've been a little younger. no more than that, though, i'd say.

Grazie. The next question is, at what age does one begin to form memories? I have none of my mother, except those much later, when I was around 10 or 11 and met her what for me was the first time.

My guess, based on having observed the growth of more than a dozen nephews and great-nephews, would be 14-18 months.

Very nice of you to say. In case you missed one of my comments earlier in this thread, I'll say it again here: Despite my span of years I have a full head of hair, all my teeth, and by God I can still get it up.
