A small child peers at me from behind one of the chairs of my table at cafe La Piazzetta. Mommie is nearby, as the kid waves at me. I wave back. Smile. I sense it’s ok and raise my camera. Click, click, click. Child goes back to mommie. I smile. She smiles, and says ciao. And so does daddy, who has been watching the entire episode from a short distance.
