That Says It All

One of the places we fish is very popular with beginning fisher-folk. The girls and I have been known to harvest lures from the trees *grin*

This shallow, slow-moving creek is stocked with trout and I see signs that say fly-fishing only, so I can only wonder what that lure was all about. But then I'm not a fisherman, so maybe there are times when the lure is appropriate.

A surprising number of people don't know the difference between fly fishing and 'regular' fishing -- sad but true. That being said, that lure's big enough that you need some depth to make it work for you. Even if they didn't get it stuck in the tree, it would have gotten stuck somewhere!

There always are a lot of fishermen out there, and I suppose some of them are beginners--or maybe those who avoid reading signs posted with prohibitions. Meanwhile, I have a nifty lure on my desk. What in the world will I do with it?
