Re: In motion...go, go, go

No picnics allowed. No Frisbies allowed. No sunbathing allowed. No tents or camping allowed. Rules are posted, and they must be obeyed, under penalty of law.

It's also against the law to allow your dog to take a dump without picking it up and taking it with you for proper disposal, which this clear photographic evidence shows the driven couple did not. They were in too big a hurry to get in their five miles.

Re: In motion...go, go, go

Southern Italy is solidly entrenched in its customs, impervious to the influence of outsiders, the result of centuries of foreign invasion. The people of Rome disdain the backwardness of the hoardes in Naples, and in Naples they look down at the country bumpkins on Ischia. On the Island, in turn, the "sophisticates" in the northern port villages frown at the stubborn and supersitious folks in Barano, who still think they're up against the Roman Legions of Constantine, who after being tolerant of paganism, suddenly decided to clamp down and erase all traces. In Buonopane there still are old folks who practice Stregheria, only when no one else is looking.
