I'm not familiar with using a chainsaw, but the second picture looks dangerous. I'm sure the tree man knows his stuff as I see he still has all his limbs and isn't oozing red anywhere, but using the tip of the saw like that, while straddling the trunk, I can imagine a kickback and an inability to step out of the way in case of loss of control. I think I would cut the branches off using the area closer to the engine- the middle rather than the tip, and do it from the side of the log, rather than straddling it. What do you think?

It's an interesting "story". Yesterday's with the group of girls was great too.

This guy worked quite fast, and with apparent ease. I agree it makes more sense to cut with the middle of the saw rather than the tip, but then I'm just another rubber-necker!
