I need to identify the type of tree in this photo of my Vittoria on the bank of the Lehigh River, so I’m wondering if anyone out there can help me. The same tree is in the second photo below the cut, on the far left. I’d like to think it’s an oak, but I know as much about trees as I know about mathematics, which is ZIP.

Looks to me like it's a sycamore. They are known to like living along rivers also.

Yep! I found a high resolution image of sycamore bark, and it's a perfect match to my photo. Many thanks!
